Please try not to call me during work hours (8.30am to 6pm) cos it's kinda illegal, heh heh.
Text me if necessary, I'll get to it asap.
Work's pretty tiring so, I apologise in advance if I sound real cranky and stuff (adjusting takes time my friends), please forgive me!

ZIPPINGLY AWESOME LIGHTSTREAMS
"If we don't try, we don't do; and if we don't do, why are we here?"

I decided to have a go on lightstreams.
Had much fun playing with bulb mode (:
EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY
Just thinking about it, there are many opportunities to embrace uncertainty. But what so cool about it that warrants us to accept it, least bit embrace it? Besides, untrodden paths in our life are untrodden for a reason. Yes?
I thought so too.
Kept things at it was, going with the mentality of "if it's not broken don't fix it". Mistake on my part. I made a friend a little too late, and now I wonder how troubled days would have been had a spoken to someone a little more frequently and perhaps a little more genuinely.
I do regret my actions.. or should I say, NON-action (haha) and hopefully can improve and embrace uncertainty a bit better in the days to come. Perhaps speak with someone I don't usually speak with or just have a plesant and meaningful conversation with a friend.
Internship starting tomorrow, hopefully my friends and I will be able to adapt into the team with ease and have a wonderful learning experience (:
Apology in advance: I might not be able to blog and take pictures as frequently so.. hang in there!

If you're studying for prelims, good luck. Don't forget to take time off to relax and appreciate life. Like seriously. Write an encouraging note to your classmate or studying partner or any other random person today. It helps (:
Worried?

Worried about looming examinations?
Ponder on this:

I CLONED LYDIA.
Saturday, August 22, 2009 7:25 AM
Sad sad myra couldn't make it for the awesome BBQ. Lydia is a great model, i love lydia too (: It's a good try for the first shot at cloning people. I'll try more people next time. Heehee.
Exams, please evaporate.

So.. two papers are over, and I've got 2 more left. then..
THE INTERNSHIP (:
Really excited! Other than finishing my internship, I'm going to read some good books and learn some korean. There's a WW youth BBQ today.. LATER, in fact. I'm gonna go for just a while, then back to finish up my revision. I'm planning to clone myra if she's there. you'll "get the picture" when I literally get the picture. LOL.
Anyway, there was this very old Super Junior song ringing in my head throughout the paper today, it was so distracting! I've decided to post it up just for fun. Enjoy!
It's so funny how they're all acting so soft in the video, I keep laughing to myself whenever I watch it again.. Donghae(0:50) and Siwon(0:56)look really good in this video. Kangin (1:13) is super awesome, Heechul(1:46) looks sooooo pretty and Kibum(1:53).. is just Kibum. HAHA!
kandace & korean.

Taking a break off my academics, I decided to let my mind rest momentarily on blogger. The interface is still messed up, but I'll manage (:
Okay. You're probably thinking "What's up with Kandace and Korean?" It's a very good question and it's definitely very valid. I like to ask myself that sometimes.
I like to believe that I've grown to be more ethnorelative. Being able to appreciate your own culture as well as a foreign culture can be quite enriching and enjoyable if you take it with.. some Fruit Tree apple juice.
Just kidding.
Maybe it's because I've been able to appreciate music as "music", which means, even if you don't really understand what they're singing about half the time, you love it all the same. (As long as it's not vulgar/etc)I would definitely choose music in a different language than music in English that is full of... not-so-good-and-grey-and-shady kinda lyrics.
It's almost comparable to listening to rap, classical music or even the national anthem. You're not 100% sure what it means, but if it's not a bad song and you like how it sounds, it'll probably make it to your itunes playlist.
Someone commented recently that my saying "Anyonghaseyo" (hello greeting in Korean) was "cliché". I pondered about it for a bit and found it rather unfortunate that someone would actually find a foreign greeting a cliché.
Let me say that again.
"Greeting in a foreign language is a cliché."
It's definitely terribly unfortunate, (and I was so so tempted to ninja twack that person (:) because that person has not been able to feel the joy in appreciating a foreign language. I better not say NI HAO (chinese greeting)too may times or someone might tell me it's cliché, LOL.
Till then, an-nyong-hi kye-seyo (:
What's up with blogger
Sunday, August 16, 2009 4:31 AM
Blogger is so prone to these kind of system errors, but there's no way i'm changing to wordpress or livejournal. "JUST BECAUSE"
exams start this friday, kinda worried i won't finish revision in time. *fingers crossed*
i had to reformat my laptop cos there was something wrong, i count myself lucky that my files could be backed-up. VERY LUCKY.
till i get photoshop back on my laptop, i will definitely feel partially paralyzed. (thank you bryce, you're sucha lifesaver)apparently, CS4 for Windows is out of stock in ALL POPULAR bookstores, island-wide. once i've got that up and running, i can FINALLY get barrage pictures up.. even though i'm a little disappointed with my shots. nonetheless, that's how we improve.
skyped with feng today, love her to bits. (what the heck, they have aeropostale and aeo in hawaii, THE JOY!)
You know the kind of times in your life when you needed someone the most, and that person just isn't there? (like when you really need to upload a picture on blogger and the whole interface just goes whack) That dependency you've been counting on just evaporates..
it's like you jumping on a trampoline. you're relying on it to send you back up in the air. just as you're about to bounce back up, the whole trampoline disappears and you land on your butt real bad.
yeah that's sorta how i feel. "it's part and parcel of life, so chew on it, kandace"
textured pictures are cool

SIBLINGS
I'm having so much fun with textures, *big smile*
Oh yes, my e-portfolio. if you want to have a look, it's HERE
I haven't got the time to spiff it up, it's still very ugly. have yet to "upgrade it", prolly after my exams.
(marina barrage was super fun btw!)
till then.
Study hard everyone (:
over due post
Sunday, August 2, 2009 6:33 AM
apologies for the delayed post, gosh, school has kept me busy. this past week was "Hand-In-All-Projects" week, along with presentations etc exams are coming, wowzers.
this tuesday i have an assignment from my business communications module that's due. we were given the assignment on friday. we're supposed to have an e-portfolio done in a blog form kinda thing i spent an entire afternoon creating that border up there... but now i don't know how to put it in. CSS and HTML stuff just don't jive with me but i'll find a way (: it took a long time to create cos i learnt how to use textures to create the rustic-ish feel at the corners), experimenting and choosing the best.. i'll put up the link when it's done (should be soon cos it's due on tuesday! haha! joker.)
i've got posted to Changi Airport for my 6 week internship and i'm really excited! working hours are like 8.30am to about 6pm.. it'll be interesting.
till then, hope ya'll are doing good. take care, study hard (AMANDA!!) and go to Marina Barrage hahaha ward activity (:
