taking a break off photomarathon,
yesterday was daddy's 49th birthday.
it was quite a long day for me.
morning (10am to 12n) : SPCA
afternoon (1pm to 6.30pm) : KARATE COMP
night ( 8pm to 10pm) : SWENSEN'S
our family went to watch sam's compete in SP
he just finished his karate grading and skipped a grade while his other friends got a single promotion. he's a brownie now. really happy for him.
this sequence he was doing is called "Geksai Dai Ich". and no, sorry, i have no clue what it means.
mum and dad laughing away with my uncle.
i like this picture of mum. she looks really cute here. haha.
that's my uncle lawrence who gave out the prizes for one section. he trains with the SP team and did the recording of the scoring for the matches.
ah there we go. sam took part in 3 matches and got a medal for each which is pretty cool. 1) Kata (sequential movement - meaning they memorise the steps) - 3rd
2) Kihon II - basic for senior belt (green and above) - 3rd
3) Kumite (sparring) - 1st
this is jason yee. he's sam's sensei. they won "best Dojo (the place where you train) award". his Dojo won the most number of medals.

it was pretty late so we went to swensen's to have a small celebration for dad, since most of the day was spent watching the matches.
